First we need to format the DVD video.  All DVD video are in MPEG-2 format. I used avidemux. On Ubuntu to install avidemux sudo apt-get install avidemux From the menus start the avidemux. Load the video Select a preconfiged format. In the "Auto" menu select the format you want, I used "DVD". Adjust the format.
